| Gentamicina is a highly recommended drug to
combat E-Coli symptoms which includes the release of large amounts of watery
droppings that are whitish more than greenish and has a distinctive odor.
The bird loses it’s appetite, becomes sluggish and drinks a lot.
Vomiting is common and the bird goes light. Eggs may not hatch or
die within a few days. Gentamicina is a broad spectrum anti-biotic
effective against not only E-Coli, it is also considered an effective treatment
of Salmonella/Paratyphoid and Coccidiosis. Compared to other anti-biotics,
resistance to Gentamicina occurs more rarely. Gentamicina may be
combined with Amoxicillin for added benefit. It should NOT be combined
with other anti-biotics, medicines or vitamins or used immediately after
their use. Use 8 cc’s per gallon of drinking water for 5 to 7 days. |
