| Canker occurs in pigeons worldwide and is especially feared as a young pigeon disease. Nearly all pigeons are carriers of trichomonads (canker), which live in the mucosa of the beak and throats, the gullet and the crop. Infected pigeons excreate the parasite in saliva and droppings. Adult pigeons infect the young when feeding crop milk. All pigeons in the flock should be treated at the same time with Chevi-Col. If increased drinking water is required when young are in the nest, or hot weather, do not dilute the medicated water. Instead provide fresh water after the medicated water is finished. Do not provide bath water during the treatement. The powder is packaged 12 packs to a box and you use 1 package to a litre of drinking water which is a bit more than a quart. Contains 500 mg dimetridazole and 142.5 mg of aminosodine. 1 capsule per pigeon for 6 days. Check out www.chevita.com. |
