| Many people like to build their own cages or hutches because of special needs or sizes. Much of the welded wire purchased to fill these needs is galvanized before welding and although more economical, the material rusts more quickly compared to the galvanized after welding wire. Galvanized wire is dipped after it is welded, providing a seal of zinc and galvanizing over the joints. The galvanizing is thicker providing the longer life. All of our wire is 14 gauge.
