Ascapilla + Capsules
Status: IN STOCK
Hairworms and roundworms are widespread in pigeon flocks, whereas tapeworms are less common. These worm type live as parasites in the small intestine of pigeons. The hairworm is a very slender, hair live parasite and infest various poultry as well as pigeons. The pigeon roundworm only occurs in pigeons. Two types of tapeworm infest pigeons. Pigeons only become infected if they injest an intermediate host such as snails, beetles, and ants. Affected pigeons produce droppings of varying consistency. Appetite is initially increased but diminishes as the infestation progresses. The birds lose weight and may become listless, ruffled feathers and in poor condition. Deworm all pigeons in a flock at the same time using 1 capsule of Ascapilla + per pigeon. In 3-4 weeks, we suggest a repeat treatment. Pigeons should not be dewormed while they are rearing young or during a moult. Check out www.chevita.com.
