Cleaners, Sanitizers, Disinfectants, Odor Control, Pest Control, Disease Control
Pigeons suffer from a variety of external parasites, lice, mites, flies and mosquitoes.  The Pigeon Pox is frequently transmitted by insects such as the mosquito.  The feather louse lives on feather and skin debris.  They may be controlled with various powders and sprays.  Spraying or dusting the birds every two weeks or so will dramatically reduce the infestation of lice and also break the entire life cycle.   Do not use too much dust, as you will force the birds to breath it in, and it will certainly do them no good.  Permethrin, in my opinion is the best dust you can use.  The Red Mite is a bothersome pest that bites your birds and sucks blood.  They do not live on the birds, but spend time in the cracks, nesting materials and other hiding places of the loft.  They come out mostly at night.  A good spraying with Permectrin II will aid in the control of these pests.  I like to create a dip with Permectrin II and dip all my birds in it. When you bring new birds into the loft, it is a good idea to powder or spray the bird and then segregate it for a period of time, so as to not infest your birds from lice that might jump off.  Since lice mostly live off the feather, they die quickly when not on the bird.
